Serious and Rare Reactions to Razadyne

Serious Side Effects

Some side effects with Razadyne, while usually infrequent, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Fainting
  • A dangerously slow heart rate (bradycardia)
  • Depression
  • Stomach ulcers or intestinal ulcers
  • Difficulty passing urine
  • Seizures
  • Worsening of asthma
  • Uncontrollable body movements or twitches
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including an unexplained rash, hives, itching, swelling of the mouth or throat, wheezing, or difficulty breathing.

Less Common Side Effects of Razadyne

There are other, less common Razadyne side effects that can occur. In studies, these side effects occurred in less than 1 percent of people taking the drug. For these side effects, it is difficult to tell whether they are actually caused by Razadyne or something else. There is a good chance that these "side effects" could be completely unrelated to Razadyne.
These less common potential side effects include, but are not limited to:
  • A spinning sensation (vertigo)
  • Leg cramps
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Increased salivation
  • High blood sugar
  • Nosebleeds
  • Increased libido (sex drive)
  • Kidney stones.

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the Razadyne side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand whether you will have side effects from a medicine that you have never taken.
Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking the drug or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be related to Razadyne, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
