Razadyne Drug Interactions
When certain medications are taken together with Razadyne, drug interactions may occur that could decrease the effectiveness of the medicines or increase your risk of developing dangerous side effects. Some of the medications that may cause drug interaction with Razadyne include cimetidine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anticholinergic drugs, cholinergic drugs, and fluvoxamine.
Razadyne® (galantamine hydrobromide) can potentially interact with several different medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Razadyne interactions include:
- Anticholinergic medications, including (but not limited to):
- Atropine
- Belladonna (Donnatal®, B&O Supprettes®, Bellamine S®)
- Benztropine (Cogentin®)
- Clidinium (Librax®)
- Clozapine (Clozaril®)
- Darifenacin (Enablex®)
- Dicyclomine (Bentyl®)
- Diphenhydramine (Benadryl®, Tylenol PM®)
- Glycopyrrolate (Robinul®)
- Haloperidol (Haldol®)
- Homatropine (Hycodan®)
- Hyoscyamine (Levsin®)
- Ipratropium (Atrovent®)
- Scopolamine (Transderm Scop®)
- Tiotropium (Spiriva®)
- Tolterodine (Detrol®)
- Trospium (Sanctura®)
- Cholinergic drugs (including other acetylcholinesterase inhibitors), such as:
- Cimetidine (Tagamet®)
- Ciprofloxacin (Cipro®)
- Fluvoxamine (Luvox®)
- Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as:
- Ibuprofen (Motrin®, Advil®)
- Naproxen (Naprosyn®) or naproxen sodium (Aleve®, Anaprox®, Naprelan®)
- Diclofenac (Cataflam®, Voltaren®)
- Indomethacin (Indocin®)
- Nabumetone (Relafen®)
- Oxaprozin (Daypro®)
- Celecoxib (Celebrex®)
- Meloxicam (Mobic®)
- Etodolac (Lodine®)
- Ketoprofen (Orudis®)
- Ketorolac (Toradol®)
- Paroxetine (Paxil®, Paxil CR®, Pexeva®, Brisdelle™)
- Theophylline (Uniphyl®, Theocron®, TheoCap®, Theo-24®, Elixophyllin®).
