Namenda® is a prescription medicine that is used for treating moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. It has been shown to slow down the decline of cognitive function and improve the performance of daily activities. The medication is available in tablet and liquid form, and is generally taken twice a day.
 
While most people tolerate this drug well, side effects are possible. Confusion, dizziness, constipation, and headaches are some of the common side effects reported with this product. Before taking this medicine, be sure to let your healthcare provider know if you have kidney disease, liver disease, epilepsy, or a severe urinary tract infection.
