Many people assume that because ginkgo biloba (ginkgo) is a "natural" product, that it is automatically free of side effects. However, this is simply not the case. In fact, ginkgo biloba contains certain toxins that can cause serious and even life-threatening problems. Some of the side effects that you should report to your healthcare provider right away include seizures, nosebleeds, and vision changes.
In many cases, side effects of this supplement are not serious -- they are merely bothersome. These side effects include upset stomach, dizziness, and nausea, among others. If you develop any side effects while taking this product, or if something "just doesn't seem right," let your healthcare provider know.
