Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
If you are taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), like ibuprofen, with Aricept, you may be at an increased risk for experiencing a gastrointestinal (GI) bleed. Let your healthcare provider know if you are taking any of the over-the-counter NSAIDs with Aricept. They may choose to monitor you closely for symptoms of a GI bleed and make any necessary dosing adjustments.
